When should you consider a cosmetic appointment to improve the appearance of your smile? With options like bonding and contouring, we can take on multiple esthetic imperfections at once. If you have concerns with the color and shape of your teeth, or with exposed gaps between the teeth, then you should see us for a consultation to see if one or both of these procedures can help your smile truly shine. We will conduct a detailed examination of your smile to plan the treatment, and decide which options are best for your smile. We could potentially offer a smile transformation in only one sitting!
Bonding can repair minor damage in one visit, and mask multiple cosmetic issues in the same appointment. The procedure uses the same metal-free and lifelike composite resin we employ as part of our tooth-colored tooth fillings. We will numb the tooth or teeth being treated and then clean them and etch the surfaces to prepare them for the procedure. We then shade the composite resin and apply this in several layers. As the composite resin occurs under a light, we will sculpt and mold the tooth for a more attractive appearance. Finally, we will polish the tooth for a more attractive appearance.
In a single sitting, we can mask teeth stains, fill gaps between teeth, and repair cracks and chips. We can also correct misshapen teeth and lengthen worn down structures as well!
Contouring also only takes one visit, but takes a very different approach than bonding. With this option, we will actually sand and buff the outer structure to correct esthetic issues. We can smooth away any pits, grooves, or rough patches in the outer surfaces. Our team could dull sharp, jagged, or pointed teeth too, and addresses the appearance of chipped or misshapen/overly large teeth too. If you have any questions about how we offer major cosmetic transformation in only one visit with bonding or contouring, or if you are ready to schedule your initial visit to get started, then contact our team today to learn more and start your journey!
We would love to help restore your tooth to full function and health, and ensure a lifelike appearance too, so you can feel great about your smile in 2026. To find out more about cosmetic dentistry, call Elm Creek Dental in Maple Grove, MN, today at 763-416-0606.
